Homemade Lavender Sugar Scrub Bars Recipe! These Homemade Lavender Sugar Scrub Body Bars combine rich moisturizing ingredients with body exfoliating sugar to make a DIY body product that leaves your skin soft, smooth, and glowing. It is much easier to make than you might think and is fantastic to make for yourself. Or, fill up a small jar with them for gifts to pamper your friends and family. I made these scented with lavender for the healing properties of lavender, as well the calming and relaxation benefit. But you can create yours in any scent you wish by using your favorite essential oil(s) in place of the lavender. Be sure to choose high quality ingredients so you can get the maximum benefit from these sugar scrub bars. I love Mountain Rose Herbs quality and online selection. A simple way to create a thoughtful handmade gift for anyone.

Homemade Lavender Sugar Scrub Bars
1 cup sugar
½ cup soap base
1 tsp. coconut oil
1 tsp. vegetable glycerin
Cut melt and pour soap base into small pieces for easier and faster melting.
Place melt and pour soap base and shea butter in a microwave safe bowl and heat 30 seconds at a time, stirring after each heat, just until melted.
Stir in coconut oil, glycerin, and essential oil until well combined. Allow to cool just a minute.
Mix in sugar until just combined.
Pour mixture into silicone mold, stir a bit to release air bubbles.
If your mixture sits too long and begins to harden up before you can get it poured into the mold just pop it in the microwave for 15-20 seconds and it will liquify again quickly!
Allow molds to sit for 2 hours then pop out scrub bars.
Store in a cool, dry place.
To gift place several in a small (4 oz.) mason jar, add a pretty ribbon and a homemade tag.
